Since joining Geely Holding Group in 2010, Dr. Shen Yuan has built a multidisciplinary engine development team covering design, simulation, testing, NVH, etc. High-efficiency turbocharged engines of 1.3T, 1.4T and 1.0TD developed under his leadership ranked among “Heart of China” Top Ten Engines, respectively in 2014, 2017 and 2018, and 1.4T engine received the 1st Prize of Zhejiang S&T Advancement Award. In 2021, Dr. Shen initiated the creation of Collaborative Innovation Center focusing on Software, Intelligent, Electrified and Connected Automobiles as a source of driving force for S&T innovation in Geely Holding Group and a stronghold for international competitiveness of China’s automobile industry.

Dr. Gu Pengyun joined Geely in July 2013 as Senior Chief Engineer and was in charge of NVH, materials, eco-friendly and lightweight product R&D at Geely Automotive Research Institute before his promotion to Chief NVH Engineer and Director of Vehicle Engineering Center, where he is responsible for vehicle safety, CAE, NVH, materials, eco-friendly and lightweight, automotive dynamics and vehicle performance integration R&D of all vehicle models of Geely (traditional and new energy). Dr. Gu earned his bachelor and master degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in MIT. He was engaged in automobile NVH R&D and application in Ford, Otis, Tesla Motors and Fisker Automotive successively. He is an expert in NVH, CAE, mechanical dynamics and automobile performance development. A member of SAE and ASME, Dr. Gu has published over 30 core papers in international journals and conferences on engineering. Before joining Geely, he had received dozens of awards including R&D Achievement Award, Technological Innovation Award and Outstanding Achievement Award at Ford, and has won Excellent Worker Award and Shufu Award of Geely Holding Group since he joined Geely.
